I came into the world in a rusty tin can of a place near the Great Falls of Montana. The missile silo where my father spent his working days was a long way from the endless fields of hay in East Texas. The snowy clouds that draped overhead like the sliver of a new moon were a long way from the college where he met my mother.

This will be read by an actor who is playing me in my posthumous music biopic. Pretty scenes of snow covered fields will begin the long play of the things in my life that to some degree made me who I am. Since that movie has not been made yet and most likely never will, let me give you a brief introduction.

My name is Kirk Wheeler and I am an American singer-songwriter, born in the great wide west. I take off my shoes and sleep in California. Growing up an Air-Force brat I was given a wandering spirit and an open mind. I have learned most of what I care to remember from music, and some good books, and films, and yes my family. But we will focus on music.

The journey of my life has been about creating music. I have spent time in bar bands, time in music school, time cleaning toilets in studios, hungry for knowledge that would help me create. Countless hours pouring over lyrics, reading about microphones, the history of song, the future of recording and always, always in love with it all. This website is about me trying to share that passion with you.

If this is your first time here below is a starter list of songs that have been received kindly in the world. Sort of a preamble to my current body of work.
